Welcome.
I am a Wildlife and Pet Portrait artist based in southern Perthshire, Scotland, working mainly in watercolour and graphite pencil. Living in such beautiful surroundings, it is difficult not to be artistically inspired - from the lochs and mountains, to the abundant Scottish wildlife.
Wildlife
My main wildlife focus is the rare and majestic White-Tailed Eagle (sea eagle). Britain's largest bird of prey was once hunted to extinction in Britain, but is now regaining a flourishing population in Scotland thanks to reintroduction projects on the west and east coasts. I work, where possible, from my own photos and sketches. I am lucky that people have been kind enough to let me work from their photos. I am always looking for good wildlife subjects for my artwork, especially sea eagles - if you have a photo which may be of interest, please contact me.

The eagles have inspired my cartoon characters in Eagle Antics.Based on the real-life, and sometimes not quite so real-life, antics of Scotland's White-Tailed Eagles! I'm currently writing and illustrating my first cartoon story about the eagles and I'm hoping to get this printed once complete. |
Pet Portraits
Pets have been my main focus for a number of years - as well as on this site, you
can also see my portfolio of pet portraits and further information at Portraits of Pets. Owning a Labrador, it is easy to see why they have become something of a speciality of mine, although all breeds are of course welcome!
I also undertake commissions of any subject matter: people, transport, landscapes, wildlife, etc.
